By Amber, on June 15, 2010, at 10:00 pm The obsession continues:

Diamonds and emeralds in a platinum and gold setting. Looks like maybe ruby eyes, but the listing doesn’t mention them. And it’s nearly my ring size — must be fate!
I’ll admit, it’s all a bit much. But I think I could make it work.
By Amber, on March 30, 2010, at 10:16 pm I can’t help but love octopuses. Octopi. Whichever you prefer. It’s hard not to be fascinated by such a strange, smart, tough creature, and it seems a lot of people are fans (check out some of Miss Monster’s popular tentacle stuff!).
Here are a few little octopus baubles that have caught my eye:
available from billyblue22 on etsy
available from OctopusMe on etsy
available from westernmountain on etsy
Finally, one I’ve admired for four or five years:
available from Seawear
Yep, I’m a sucker for octopuses.
By Amber, on February 25, 2010, at 10:00 pm Actually, the website calls it ‘BIZARRE vintage jewel Egyptian SCARAB bracelet’:
The stone is glass, thought to be Czech, and the piece is estimated to be from the 1920s or 1930s. The scarab is a symbol of good luck, though I’m not sure how lucky you are when your occupation is pushing a poo ball across the desert. Regardless, I would rock this one-of-a-kind piece so hard.
‘BIZARRE’? Nay, I think you meant ‘AWESOME.’
By Amber, on December 8, 2009, at 9:49 pm I was looking for something else and happened across this:

I love enamel jewelry, and this piece is certainly unique. It’s a bit out of my price range, but it reminds me of a brooch that I bought a couple years ago in a Soho accessory store:

Funny, $40 seemed a little pricey at the time, but I had to have it. I used to wear it on a fuschia wool winter coat, but now that my winter coats spend most of the year in a closet, it adorns a handbag:

By Amber, on November 15, 2009, at 8:47 pm I am fascinated by these shoes:

I had never heard of this brand until I stumbled across them on Whorange. This style comes in a few other colors, but I like the blue because they make me think of Alice in Wonderland. I’d wear the heck out of them this spring with a simple summer dress and a little cardigan.
